In addition, the Board of Directors donated $10,000 to the Catholic Diocese for the 2005 Tsunami Relief Fund and $5,000 towards the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

The Board of Directors donated $10,000 in 2002 and 2003 to S.T.E.P. – Saginaw Teens Erasing Poverty. These students traveled to Mexico to help build shelter during the summer months.

Catholic Federal also donates to many local schools and Catholic parishes.

The credit union’s Today & Tomorrow Committee sponsors two Christmas luncheons, one in Bay City, the other in Saginaw and request that members bring gloves, hats or scarves as admittance. The donations are given to needy families and non profit organizations that assist the public.
